Launch Day

Today this blog launches.

Data Mining — a blog providing Advanced Business Intelligence:

  • Advanced — striving for the best available knowledge
  • Business — drawing from applied lessons in for-profit and non-profit organizations
  • Intelligence — applying design for maximum effect

This blog is part of the larger MarkTab.Net data mining portal, which provides information on data mining in general, and Microsoft Data Mining in particular.  As used on this website, “data mining” means applying the full array of statistical techniques to make better decisions, while “machine learning” implies researching and developing better computer algorithms for data analysis.

This blog’s content will draw regular rhythm from the books and periodicals I read on the following topics:

  • Business Intelligence
  • Data Mining
  • Microsoft Business Intelligence
  • Microsoft Data Warehousing and Data Quality
  • Microsoft OLAP
  • Microsoft Reporting
  • SQL Server Data Mining

Unscheduled postings will happen in addition to covering these topics.
